A Rivalry for the Ages AC Valhalla: Quest Guide

A Rivalry for the Ages AC Valhalla is a side quest players can pick up after they direct for a museum to be built in Ravensthorpe.

Ubisoft clearly spent quite a bit of time fleshing out the world of its latest Assassin's Creed game, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Players have the opportunity to return to areas they previously rode through and discover new things to do each time they pass by. "A Rivalry for the Ages" is one example of this ever-evolving nature within the player's Ravensthorpe settlement.

A Rivalry for the Ages AC Valhalla

This side quest comes from Octavian within the museum of Ravensthorpe. When spoken to, he will tell Eivor of his rivalry with Maximilian of Londinium and how Octavian desperately wants the legionnaire statue his rival has. It's up to Eivor and the player to get the statue from Maximilian.

Players can find Maximilian in Lunden directly south, down the street, from the Londinium Amphitheater. He'll be hanging around outside his shop, sitting on a stool. From there, players have four options: give up, pay him for the state, persuade him to give them the statue, or steal it.

Paying Maximilian will require 130 silver while persuading him can only be done with high charisma. Of course, persuading him is the best option, but stealing the statue is a bit more exciting.

Down the street, players will find a group of kids hanging around on their right. For the low price of 65 silver, the kids will distract Maximilian and cause him to leave his post outside his shop. Fortunately for Eivor, he'll also leave his key, allowing them to head into the shop and steal the statue before he returns.

Now, all they need to do is return to Octavian for their reward of solving one of Lunden's Mysteries.
