Pokemon GO, a mobile augmented reality game from The Pokemon Company and Niantic Labs, lets players get active and catch Pokemon right on their phone. The game blew up on initial release in 2016 and consistent content from the developer/publisher have kept it alive and well.

Pokemon GO Failed to Get Game Data From Server
There are a few fixes to see if the issue is just a technical bug. Common remedies include turning Airplane Mode on and off after hard closing your application.
If that doesn't solve the problem, players can also try deleting and reinstalling the app.
If that doesn't work, the player affected might have been banned by Niantic. If that's the case, emailing its support service will discover whether or not they are banned.
